Se trata de los modelos Nokia 6111 y el Nokia 7370. El primero es ideal para quienes buscan un tamaño compacto, pues pesa apenas 92 gramos y cabe perfectamente en la palma de la mano. El modelo incorpora cámara digital (1 megapixel), cámara de video, tecnología Bluetooth, infrarrojos, Pop- Port y USB. El Nokia 7370 perteneciente a la línea L’Amour. “Este celular pertenece a una colección que tiene en cuenta que para muchas personas los teléfonos se han transformado en una extensión de su propio estilo”, agregó Yolande Pineda. El aparato cuenta con una pantalla de 2 pulgadas, cámara de 1.3 megapíxeles y zoom digital 8x. Con altavoces estéreo sus efectos de sonido 3D, radio FM, reproductor de música digital y videotonos de llamada y funciona con tecnología Bluetooth y es ligero, pues pesa 104 gramos.

Ocho meses después de haber sido detectado en las Filipinas el virus Cabir empezó a infectar los celulares occidentales.Cabir es un gusano del tipo “prueba de concepto” que se replica en 60 diferentes series de teléfonos. Este gusano se envía a sí mismo en repetidas ocasiones al primer dispositivo Bluetooth que esté habilitado, sin importar el tipo de dispositivo. Por ejemplo, hasta una impresora con dispositivo Bluetooth será atacada si se encuentra dentro del rango de alcance. El gusano se dispersa como un archivo SIS, el cual se instala en una carpeta APPS.Cabir se propagó a partir de una página para descargar aplicaciones para teléfonos celulares con sistema operativo Symbian. El virus se ha encontrado en los modelos de teléfonos celulares inteligentes o Smartphones de la marca Nokia, especialmente en el modelo 6600. Lo que ocurre una vez infectado el aparato es que la batería se consume rápidamente debido a la exploración constante de los dispositivos Bluetooth. No tiene otro tipo de actividad, por lo que los especialistas le han asignado un valor bajo de alerta.En el mundo más de 1,500 millones de aparatos utilizan la tecnología Symbian la cual puede alojar a este virus. Curiosamente a lo que ocurre con las PC’s, los usuarios de teléfonos con sistema operativo Windows no tienen de que preocuparse.

China, líder en uso de celulares.

(www.laopinion.com).- Tiene 420 millones de usuarios y supera ya a EU China alcanzó a finales de mayo los 420 millones de usuarios de teléfonos móviles, lo que consolida a ese país como el que más aparatos celulares tiene en el mundo, según un informe del Ministerio de Industria de la Información recogido este miércoles por la agencia oficial Xinhua.Las estadísticas muestran un incremento de más de 27 millones de usuarios en los últimos cinco meses, doblando el aumento registrado en la cantidad de usuarios de telefonía fija, a los que la telefonía móvil supera ya en más de 57 millones de clientes.El incremento mensual medio en el sector de la telefonía móvil en China se situó entre los tres y cuatro millones de usuarios el año pasado, una tendencia que se disparó en octubre de 2003 cuando la telefonía móvil superó a la fija en clientela.Junto a este incremento, el volumen de mensajes de texto subió en un 46.3% con respecto a los cinco primeros meses del año anterior hasta alcanzar los 167,950 millones de envíos.El ministro también señaló que entre enero y mayo los ingresos totales de China en las empresas de correo y telefonía ascendieron a 287,820 millones de yuanes (alrededor de 35,979 millones de dólares estadounidenses), un 11.4% más que el año pasado.Hace sólo 10 años, en China era sumamente raro el uso de teléfonos móviles y en pocos años ha pasado a ocupar el puesto número uno a nivel mundial, superando a Estados Unidos, la economía más grande del mundo.Pese a los buenos resultados de los operadores de teléfonos móviles, los fabricantes locales siguen relegados a un segundo lugar en su propio mercado, el mayor del mundo del sector, que está dominado por fabricantes extranjeros.El mismo ministerio reveló ayer que un 40% de los teléfonos móviles del país son de marca china (frente a un 44.5% en 2004) y en las exportaciones menos del 6% de los móviles exportados el año pasado son chinos.Un total de 65 fabricantes (31 nacionales y 34 de capital extranjero) producen teléfonos móviles en China, donde el año pasado se manufacturaron un total de 304 millones de unidades (un 36.8% del volumen mundial).
